los que expresan OBLIGACION Y NECESIDAD

* MUST

-Must + infinitivo es usado para obligaciones importante que expresan la autoridad del hablante o escritor, Por lo tanto es usado:

1. Para reglas o leyes formales.
Passengers must fasten ( abrochar ) their seat belts for take-off ( despegar)

2. Para sugerencias, consejos o recomendaciones que el hablante o escritor siente importantes.
You must come to my party. Everyone is going to be there.

* HAVE TO

-Have to + infinitivo es usado para obligaciones importante que expresan la autoridad de una tercera persona, superior a la del hablante o escritor. Por lo tanto es usado:

1. Cuando el hablante quiere mostrar que no es responsable debido a una imposicion de la obligacion.
I’ll be late home tonight. I have to work late. My boss said so. ( El jefe tiene autoridad y le impone trabajar)

2. Cuando el hablante o escritor esta recordando algo a alguien sobre una regla o ley.
I‘m sorry , but you have to wear a seat belt in the back of cars now


* HAVE GOT TO

-Have got to es mas informal que have to. Por lo tanto es usualmente usado para:

1. Para ordenes directas
You ‘ve got to stop wasting your money

2. Para enfasis
I don’t care how hard I have to work , I’ve just got to pass this time.

* NEED TO

-Need to es usado para expresar necesidad o necesidades, mas que obligaciones estrictas.

If we ‘re going to work together I need to know about your background and experience.


* FORMAS NEGATIVAS DE LAS FORMAS ANTERIORES

1.MUSTN’T expresa prohibicion
Drivers must not exceed the speed limit

2. Do not have to / have not got to expresa carencia de obligacion o necesidad
You don’t have to wear a uniform, but you can if you like

3. Do not need to / needn’t + infinitive son usados paa expresar carencia de obligacion y necesidad. Su significado es similar a do not have to.
There are no lessons tomorrow, so I don’t need to get up early

4. Did not need to + infinitivo significa , no era necesario, por lo tanto no lo hicimos.
The train was delayed so we didn’t need to hurry

5. Needn’t have + participio significa , no era necesario, pero aun asi lo hicimos .
We had to wait for half an hour on the plataform because the train was delayed. We needn’t have hurried after all.
