  • put down- dejar
    How much did you have to put doown as a deposit on you house?
  • put smthg on- ponerse
    It’s cold. Put your coat on when you go out.
  • put up - poner
    George put up a ladder against the wall.
  • put up with- soportar
    He is very bad-tempered. Idon´t know how she can put up with him.
  • put on- encender
    It’s dark in here.I’ll put the light on.
  • put off- retrasar
    We’ll have to put the match off until next week because of the rain.
  • put out- molestar ( put the rubbish out)
    I’ll be all right. Please don´t put yourself out on my account. ( no te molestes por mi)
  • Put up- levantar
    Put up yor hands!
  • put somebody off-arruinar, estropear, disuadir a alguien de hacer algo
    He talked so much whil ewe were playing chess that he put me off my game.
  • put somebody up- acoger
    They arrived suddenly with nowhere to stay so I put them up for the night.
